RTT Therapy for Addiction and Trauma Recovery

Experience profound transformation with RTT Therapy in Bali, a powerful method for rapid and lasting change.

At Bali Harmony Rehab, we pride ourselves on offering innovative and effective therapies to support our clients and our programs. One such groundbreaking hypnotherapy method is Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT). Developed by world renowned therapist Marisa Peer, RTT is a revolutionary approach that combines the most effective principles of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to achieve profound and lasting results. Kerryn was one of the first people to learn RTT and has been successfully practicing for 9 years.

What Is RTT?

RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) is a powerful form of clinical hypnotherapy that helps you uncover the root causes of emotional and behavioural patterns. Unlike traditional talk therapy, RTT therapy works at the subconscious level, allowing you to identify and reframe limiting beliefs that have been holding you back. The method is mad, it is included in all our programs and is something that sets us apart from all other rehabs

In a typical RTT session, you are guided into a deeply relaxed state where you can explore past experiences and emotional blocks. The process is insightful, healing, and often life-changing.

How Does RTT Work?

The process of RTT involves several key stages that work together to bring about deep and lasting change:

  1. Hypnosis: The therapist guides the client into a relaxed, trance-like state, which allows direct access to the subconscious mind. This state of heightened awareness and focus helps bypass the critical conscious mind, making it easier to explore and address underlying issues.

  2. Uncovering Root Causes: In this relaxed state, the therapist helps the client revisit and understand significant events from their past that have contributed to their current challenges. This process of exploration and discovery reveals the root causes of negative beliefs and behaviours.

  3. Reframing and Releasing: Once the root causes are identified, the therapist uses powerful techniques to reframe these experiences and release the emotional charge associated with them. This helps clients let go of old, limiting beliefs and replace them with more positive and empowering ones.

  4. Installation of Positive Beliefs: The final stage involves reinforcing new, positive beliefs and behaviours through personalised affirmations and suggestions. You will be given a personal recording to reinforce new beliefs which you will listen to for 30 days to help re-wire your subconscious mind. This helps clients build a healthier and more positive mindset, paving the way for lasting change and personal growth.

N.B. RTT is a core part of our residential programs and also available in a focused retreat format. If you’re seeking an immersive experience that blends RTT with holistic healing and time to reset, explore our dedicated RTT Healing Retreats in Bali.

How RTT Supports Addiction Recovery

Many of our clients come to us after years of struggling with addiction, unaware that unresolved trauma, shame, or childhood pain may be driving their behaviour. RTT helps uncover and transform these root causes, allowing true healing to begin.

RTT is especially effective for:

  • Uncovering and releasing trauma

  • Rewiring beliefs around self-worth and safety

  • Addressing guilt, shame, and self-sabotage

  • Supporting emotional regulation and resilience

  • Building motivation and commitment to sobriety

What to Expect During Your RTT Sessions

At Bali Harmony Rehab, RTT is delivered in private one-on-one sessions by Kerryn, a trained and experienced RTT therapist. Your sessions are held in a safe and supportive space, and are always tailored to your unique needs.

Each session involves:

  1. A brief conversation to set intentions

  2. Guided hypnosis to access the subconscious mind

  3. Regression to relevant memories

  4. Therapeutic reframing and emotional release

  5. A bespoke recording to reinforce your healing post-session

Clients often report feeling lighter, clearer, and more in control after just one session.

What our Client Say

Before RTT, I felt like I was constantly fighting myself. I had years of anxiety, self-sabotage, and emotional triggers I didn’t fully understand. I’d tried counselling and even medication, but nothing seemed to shift the deeper issues.

Working with Kerryn and RTT, changed everything. Through RTT, I uncovered beliefs I’d been carrying since childhood, beliefs I didn’t even realise were holding me back. The sessions felt like unlocking a part of myself I’d buried.

I only needed one session to experience a real shift. I’m calmer now, less reactive, and finally feel in control of my thoughts and emotions.

This wasn’t just therapy, it was healing at the root. I’m so grateful for the care, safety and insight Kerryn provided. RTT gave me my life back.

FAQs

What is Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)?

RTT is a therapeutic approach that blends hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP and cognitive behavioural techniques. It helps uncover and reframe limiting beliefs at the subconscious level to create rapid emotional and behavioural change.

How is RTT different from traditional therapy?

RTT targets the root cause of emotional pain quickly, often resolving issues in just a few sessions. Unlike talk therapy, RTT works with the subconscious mind, where many deeply ingrained patterns and traumas are stored.

What conditions can RTT help with?

RTT is effective for anxiety, depression, addiction, low self-esteem, trauma, and more. At Bali Harmony Rehab, we use RTT as part of a holistic recovery plan tailored to each client’s needs.

How many RTT sessions will I need?

Many clients experience breakthrough results in just 1–3 sessions. For those in our longer residential programs, RTT is integrated throughout the stay to deepen healing and support sustained change.

Is RTT scientifically backed?

RTT draws from evidence-based practices including hypnotherapy and CBT. While still emerging, growing clinical research supports its effectiveness for anxiety, trauma, and behavioural change.

Can RTT help with addiction recovery?

Yes. RTT helps uncover the emotional triggers behind addiction and replace destructive patterns with empowering beliefs. It’s especially powerful when combined with other therapies, as we do at Bali Harmony Rehab.
