Welcome

Preparing for rehab can feel overwhelming, especially when travelling internationally. This guide covers everything you need to know before you arrive at Bali Harmony Rehab, from what to pack, to how we support your arrival, to visa and customs requirements.

Whether you're staying for a short or extended period, we want to make your arrival smooth, your stay comfortable, and your recovery focused.

Indonesia Entry Requirements

Please ensure you meet Indonesia’s visa and entry requirements.

  • Visa on Arrival (VOA): We strongly recommend applying in advance via the official portal: https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/ visa cost is 500,000 IDR

  • VOA Extension: If you’re staying more than 30 days, we can arrange a 30-day extension for 500,000 IDR

You must also obtain the All Indonesia Arrival Card, can obtain, 1–3 days before travel:

Once you complete the All Indonesia Arrival Card, you will be given a QR Code, take a picture of the code, you will need to show it to airport officials during processing on arrival.

Arrival & Transfers

We provide ALL airport transfers. You’ll be met by us after Immigration, Baggage Claim and Customs clearance. We wait in Starbucks coffee shop (on the right hand side as you exit the airport) and we will have a Sign for ‘Bali Harmony Retreat’ so you can find us.

Please send us your flight details so we can track your arrival and ensure a smooth welcome.

Meals & Dietary Needs

All meals are provided in-house and tailored to support your recovery. Please notify us of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance.

Occasionally, you may eat outside the facility, such as during an AA/NA meeting. In such cases, external meals are at your own expense.

Additional Wellness Experiences

We offer a range of wellness activities as part of your daily program. If you’d like something extra (e.g. spa treatments, outings), we can often accommodate, subject to clinical approval.

Clothing & Footwear

Pack light, breathable summer clothes:

  • T-shirts, shorts, and swimwear

  • Enclosed shoes and sandals/flip-flops

  • Light rain jacket

  • Modest attire for temple visits (shoulders and knees covered)

  • Small backpack, hat, and sunscreen

Travel Documents

  • Passport with at least 6 months validity

  • Completed online forms (see above)

Tech

  • Smartphone + charger (and travel adaptor)

  • Laptop or tablet (permitted at designated times)

  • Camera

  • Wi-Fi is strong, and most communication apps work well here

Toiletries & Medication

  • Bring preferred personal toiletries

  • Basic items are available locally

  • Bring any prescribed medications

  • All medications must be declared and handed to our medical team upon arrival

  • We recommend bringing anti-diarrhoea medicine like Imodium

💧 Water

Tap water is not safe to drink in Bali. We provide drinking water via two refill stations on site.

Please bring a reusable water bottle. Bottled water is also inexpensive and available everywhere.

Money & Payment

  • You’ll likely need IDR cash for markets, street food, and incidentals

  • Credit cards are accepted in most locations

  • We can assist with currency exchange at competitive rates

  • Keep some funds available for optional outings, souvenirs, or personal expenses

Petty Cash

We store your cards and cash securely and manage it as “petty cash” for daily needs like cigarettes, food delivery, or small purchases.

Larger Expenses

Medicines, excursions, laundry or other services can be invoiced and settled periodically or at the end of your stay.

Local Tips

  • VAT: Most prices in Indonesia are subject to 10% VAT

  • Service Charge: Often 5-6% and added to advertised prices

  • Tipping: Not required, but warmly appreciated
