Alcohol Rehab in Bali: What Treatment Actually Looks Like
Choosing an alcohol rehab in Bali is easier when you know what the care actually includes. Below is a transparent, step-by-step look at assessment, therapy dose, medical support, daily rhythm, and aftercare, so you can compare programs with confidence.
Who Alcohol Rehab Is For (and when detox comes first)
Rehab is suitable for: people experiencing harmful or dependent drinking who need a structured, residential setting to stabilise, build skills, and change routines.
Detox may come first: if you’re at risk of moderate to severe withdrawal, a medically supervised detox is coordinated before or at admission.

Your First Week: Assessment → Personal Plan
Day 1: Comprehensive assessment. We review your history, patterns, health, risks, goals, and supports. You’ll complete screenings for mood, sleep, trauma history, and craving triggers. We create a personalised care plan. We initiate your medically supervised detox (where required). You will be provided with a copy of our handbook which outlines policies, routines, and everything you need to know about the day to day of rehab. you will learn the daily schedule, boundaries, and how to access help 24/7.
Inpatient Rehabilitation (What You Actually Do)
Individual therapy (1:1). Typically 2–3 sessions per week focused on CBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed work, and values-based change. Sessions target the specific thoughts, urges, and routines that keep drinking in place.
Group therapy (daily). Practical skills for cravings, emotion regulation, communication, boundaries, and rebuilding a sober lifestyle.
12 Step Program, 1:1 orientation and daily work throught the proven 12 step program. Daily attendance at AA and or NA meetings to gain a deeper understanding of addiction, access fellowship and make like minded connections.
Psychoeducation. Understand alcohol’s effects on the brain, withdrawal risk windows, sleep repair, and stress systems.
Complementary practices. Mindfulness, breath-work, gentle movement, and sleep hygiene to stabilise your nervous system.
Relapse-prevention. You’ll map high-risk situations, create coping plans, and build an accountability system that continues after discharge.

The rhythm balances focused therapeutic work with rest, practice, and reflection, because sustainable recovery needs both intensity and recovery time.
Medical Support & Safety
Medical coordination as needed. Where clinically indicated, psychiatric/medical input supports anxiety, sleep, or mood symptoms. Medication decisions are individualised and reviewed.
Withdrawal monitoring (if applicable). Vitals and symptoms are monitored with clear escalation pathways during and after detox.
Governance & 24/7 staffing. Clear incident procedures, a client code of conduct, and round-the-clock support keep the environment safe and therapeutic.
Family Involvement
Family can be a powerful ally, when everyone has clear roles and boundaries. With your consent, we offer structured updates and optional family sessions to improve communication, rebuild trust, and reduce relapse risks at home. Typically we run family session during the last week of your inpatient treatment.
What Changes Week by Week
Week 1: Stabilise & understand. Sleep, nutrition, and routine reset; identify triggers and short-term goals.
Week 2: Skills & practice. Step 1 of the 12 Step program. Intensify 1:1 work; practise coping strategies in real-life scenarios (cravings, social pressure, stress).
Week 3: Repair & rebuild. Step 2 of the 12 Step program. Focus on relationships, communication, values, and sober activities that give meaning and momentum.
Week 4: Plan & protect. Step 3 of the 12 Step program. Finalise your 12-week aftercare plan, rehearse high-risk scripts, set up appointments and supports.

Aftercare: Your First Weeks Post-Rehab
Recovery sticks when support continues after discharge. Your plan typically includes:
Scheduled sessions. Telehealth or in-person therapy/coaching at a set cadence, usually weekly.

Community & structure. Ongoing connection with AA, 90 meetings in 90 days. Peer support options, family boundaries, and a weekly routines
Continuity of care. Warm handovers to local clinicians where you live where required.
Costs vs Value: What’s Actually Included?
Price matters, but value is the program you receive. When comparing alcohol rehabs in Bali, ask:
Therapy dose: How many guaranteed 1:1 hours per week?
Group quality: Are groups skills-based and facilitated by trained clinicians?
Medical input: Are psychiatric reviews available if needed?
Aftercare: How long and how structured is follow-up?
Program Structure: What is the structure of the program, how does it help the client grow and maintain sobriety
Measurement: How is progress tracked beyond attendance?

FAQs
How long should I stay?
The statistic show, that the longer you stay the more likely long term sobriety is. Our most successful program is 60Days, however we recognise time and money are often scares and that is why we offer shorter programs which we are also proud of many success stories.
Many people benefit from 28 days; some need longer depending on history, risk, and home supports. Your assessment will guide an honest recommendation.
Can I work during rehab?
Sometimes, case-by-case. Clients MUST realise that ‘free-time’ will be somewhat limited.
You do need to recognise that recovery MUST come first. If limited work is unavoidable, we’ll set boundaries and a schedule that won’t undermine progress.
Is my privacy protected?
Yes. We use confidential intake, secure records, and discrete logistics. Ask how your information is stored and who has access.
What if I’ve already relapsed after a previous rehab?
Relapse is data, not destiny. We’ll review what happened, adjust the plan (skills, dose, aftercare), and focus on the next right steps.
We have treated relapse patients and have had significant success in leadeing them to long term sobriety.
